Android Laptop and Gphone handset coming From BenQ in 2010
Yet another company BenQ has jumped on the Android platform with announcements of both a new android laptop and gphone.handset. BenQ already has a laptop called the Joybook which sports a smallish 11.6 inch display which runs on Linux. The Intel Atom based joybook is positioned somewhere between a netbook and a notebook.
BenQ also announced they will be releasing a smartphone based on Android. BenQ acquired the Siemens mobile group in 2005 and entered bankruptcy shortly after. It emerged from bankruptcy after closing all the Siemens German based mobile phone factories.
